The Tappahannock Police Department is investigating a burglary at the Raceway Convenience Store in the early morning hours of February 1. Officers responded to the store on Tappahannock Boulevard after an employee discovered damage to the windows and items missing. The investigation has revealed that an unknown male entered the by breaking a window and fled with an undisclosed amount of cash. A search of the area by officers, assisted by the King & Queen Sheriff's Office K9 team was conducted but was unable to locate a suspect. "We believe that this is someone who has been in the store before and is familiar with the surroundings.", said Captain J.H. Siddons.
